With this new edition, Cementos Portland Valderrivas main-
tains its firm commitment the sustainability policy, applying
good governance practices, respect and care of the environ-
ment, and its active collaboration with our stakeholders.
It is worth mentioning that 98.5 of its 1,827 employee workfor-
ce worked full time and only 1.5% had part-time contracts.
The Cementos Portland Valderrivas Group believes that the
career development of those who work in the organization
is one of the essential keys for achieving its corporate ob-
jectives. In 2013, the company published the Groups Safety
and Occupational Health Policy which sets out its clear com-
mitment to ensure safe and healthy working conditions to all
its workers and stakeholders.
FCC Construcción
The new Strategic Plan 2013-2015 wagers on concentrating
efforts in strategic businesses and promoting the international
presence in the more stable and profitable geographies. This
was reflected in the fact that FCC Construcción is currently ope-
rating in 35 countries and 62% of its portfolio is outside Spain.
It focuses mainly on relevant aspects in relation to the company’s
approach in managing human rights, its work standards, the en-
vironment, and the fight against corruption.
FCC Construcción has organised several awareness-building
campaigns such as the 1s Disability and Social-Work Integra-
tion Week and the dissemination of the campaign against gen-
der violence that was launched by the Ministry of Health, Social
Services and Equality. Throughout 2013, the company was also
active in preparing the FCC Group Climate Change Strategy and
has worked on quantifying and verifying Scope 3 emissions in
the inventory of greenhouse gas emissions.
