the Energy Management System at
the Las Tablas building
Aenor has certified the Energy Management
System at FCC’s headquarters building in
Las Tablas (Madrid), which is managed by
the Group’s General Services in accordan-
ce with ISO 5001 International Standard
requisites. The certificate was awarded by
Asociación Española de Normalización y
Certificación (AENOR, Spanish acronym for
the Spanish Association of Standardisation
and Certification) after successfully comple-
ting the audit.
The leading certification entity also issued
several sub-certificates for other business
units occupying the same building: FCC
Medio Ambiente, FCC Aqualia, FCC Cons-
trucción and FCC Ámbito.
One of the advantages of this certificate
is that it contributes to managing and re-
ducing energy consumption at companies
with the positive influence that this implies in
terms of reducing associated finance costs
and greenhouse gas emissions.
The award ceremony was held at FCC’s
Las Tablas headquarters and was chaired
by José María Seoane, manager of Cor-
porate Expenses and General Services at
FCC and by Marío Sánchez, deputy-ma-
nager of AENOR. Various representatives
from different business units who also con-
tributed to the project were also present at
this event.
José María Seoane congratulated the enti-
re team for their work and efforts and per-
sonally thanked Carlos González Monar,
