Well-being
organized by the Port Authority of
the Panama Canal
FCC Construcción participated in the Sa-
fety and Health at Work convention organi-
zed by the Port Authority of Panama Canal
(ACP) within the context of the 100th an-
niversary of the canal. The slogan for this
celebration was “100 years of Safety and
Health at Work, looking to the future”.
Held on 18 and 19 September at the Cen-
tro de Capacitación Ascanio Arosemena of
the ACP, FCC Construcción’s speaker at
the forum was Juan Carlos Sáez de Rus,
manager of Occupational Safety, Health
and Welfare department whose speech
was entitled “Promoting health at work,
healthy employees in heathy jobs, an inves-
tment in the future”.
FCC Construcción had a stand at the con-
vention which showcased the projects that
is has built in several countries around the
world including Central America. Informa-
tive brochures were distributed on several
projects such as: Line One of the Panama
Metro, Sections I and II of Brazil’s Via Co-
rridor, its experience in conventional and
high-speed railways, and on other projects.
A pocket manual was also distributed
among the audience highlighting occupa-
tional safety and health measures that FCC
has implemented at each of its projects.
