In Santander, the classroom of the children
who won prizes at the 11th edition of the
FCC Aqualia’s Drawing Contest was invited
to visit the La Molina facilities where they lear-
ned about the water cycle. A seminar open
to all visitors was also organized at the Water
Museum as well as a guided tour of the drin-
king water installation. The drawing contest
prizes were given out on that day in Rota and
in Vigo.
A championship was organized coinciding
with World Water Day at the Denia Sports
Centre (Alicante).
In Badajoz, more than 150 children attended
the presentation on the city’s water cycle and
a photo contest was organized in this city
through the Twitter social network (@Fotoa-

Coinciding with this celebration, FCC Aqualia staff organised and participated in several
community and children’s events.
Coinciding with World Water Day, FCC
Aqualia launched the International
Children’s Drawing Contest, this year
with the slogan “Water needs heroes
like you”. One of the novelties of this
contest, a reference in all the cities
and towns where FCC Aqualia provi-
des services, was the dissemination of
the competition guidelines at the www.
heroesdelagua.es website for schools
and students.
For the fourth consecutive year, the chil-
dren and grandchildren of FCC Aqualia
employees participated in the Small-
Artists contest which was held this year
with the slogan “The future of water looks
good because you paint it”. The two
winners in this edition received a digital
note tab and the ten runner-ups a game
for experimenting with the natural water
cycle. Children also received a fun carica-
ture as a memento.

In Lleida and in Oviedo, many people came to learn about the work carried out by FCC
Aqualia professionals at their installations. In Ibiza, a group of schoolchildren visited the
Santa Eulàlia water desalination plant and in Roda de Ter (Barcelona) children came to an
event where they learned about the end-to-end water management cycle.
