Projects
This project represents not only the first metro in Panama, but
also the first one in all of Central America. With the construction
of Line 1, Panama aims to design a mass and modern transport
system which significantly reduces travelling time from one place
to another.
The Panama Metro is being built by the Line 1 Consortium, an
FCC-Odenbrech partnership with proven expertise in the cons-
truction of underground systems throughout the world and a
strong presence in Panama.
The metro route stretches from the area close to the Grand Trans-
port Terminal in Albrook up to the San Isidro sector with 15 sta-
tions throughout its length. Metro Line One will benefit more than
one million people who travel by public transport every day.
