The project contemplates the design, urbanisation, environmen-
tal impact studies, building, finance, and fixtures and fittings of
Panama City’s Hospital Complex. The medical facilities will have
220,000 m
2
of floor space, with 49 operating rooms, more than
200 medical offices, and 1709 beds, making it a reference in the
Central American region thanks to its equipment and functionality.
The Hospital Complex includes 17 buildings which will house se-
veral medical specialities; paediatrics, cardiology, internal medi-
cine, maternal and child healthcare, operation rooms, outpatient
facilities, as well as a day hospital, several specialised rehabilita-
tion centres, and a hospital residence. All of these facilities will
make it possible to treat more than one and half million people.
