FCC Aqualia professionals
struggle against bad weather
Even though the snow storm and the cold weather has
tested the normal water supply in several cities and
towns in the north of Spain, the extraordinary work of
FCC Aqualia’s professionals have minimised the
consequences for the population of Calahorra and
Reinosa which were among the cities most affected
by rain and snow.
The cold wave and storms this past winter
affected most of the Iberian Peninsula and
made it difficult to carry out the work of the
municipal water services which, in many
cases, had to face extreme situations. Two
such examples were the cities of Calahorra
(La Rioja) and Reinosa (Cantabria), where
rain and the cold weather tested the capa-
city of the teams and people who are invol-
ved in the day-to-day public service related
tasks.
The main problems were experienced at
the Calahorra waste water treatment plant
where the situation was of maximum alert
Goodbye winter!
Against wind and snow... citizen services come first
