Communication Festival

water sector to be
chosen to participate in
the “El Chupete”
International Children’s
Communication Festival.
The “Drawing Contest” was
a finalist in the contest
where more than
200 participated.
The “El Chupete” International Children’s
Communication Festival selected FCC
Aqualia’s initiative, the “International
Children’s Drawing Contest” as a finalist in
the 12th edition of this festival which, every
year gives an award to the best creative
works with social values aimed at children
and youngsters.
The International Drawing Contest, which
FCC Aqualia has been organizing every year
since 2002, was the Company’s wager for
participating in this festival for the first time
in the Digital Campaign category, competing
with the work “What we really think of them”
of the OgilvyOne Madrid Agency for ING and
in favour of UNICEF which won the first prize
in this category.
The contest is just one of the numerous
awareness-building actions developed by
the company and is focused on contributing
to the development of the cities and towns
where the Company operates, with a strong
social commitment in all of its business deci-
sions. Over the past few years, the Drawing
Contest is FCC Aqualia’s main tool to teach
children about water management in muni-
cipalities and to create awareness amongst
them on respect for the environment. In
2016, the FCC subsidiary organized the
14th edition of this initiative under the slogan
“The cycle of water for the brave”. A messa-
ge disseminated among more than 160,000
people: 150,000 school children, 6,800 tea-
chers, 2,000 employees, 1,000 city coun-
cils, and 850 news organizations.
