Paterna renews its fleet of cleaning and waste
collection vehicles
FCC and the Paterna City Council (Valencia)
unveiled three trucks that will be part of the
fleet of 25 vehicles used for cleaning and
collecting waste in this municipality in Valen-
cia. The new additions are a new collection-
compression vehicle that will provide servi-
ces mainly in La Canyada plus two Piaggio
Porter ancillary vehicles that will be replacing
others that are more than 14 years old.
The process for replacing work machinery
that is being carried out by FCC and the
City Council through its Infrastructures Area,
aims to improve the efficiency and sustaina-
bility of the cleaning service throughout the
entire town, wagering on the use of more
modern, silent, functional, and less polluting
vehicles.
Commitment
The new collection-compressing truck has a
capacity of 24 m
3
. It will be in charge of co-
llecting solid urban and garden waste. The
two ancillary Piaggio Porter vehicles will be
used as satellite vehicles to repair zones and
for more agile and precise manoeuvring.
During the presentation of the vehicles, Nú-
ria Campos, Councilwoman for efforts being
carried out by the City Council to improve
the cleanliness and quality of public spaces
in Paterna by renewing the street cleaning
fleet. This will make it possible to optimise
the service and will enable operators to work
more efficiently”.
Campos also said, “the objective is to con-
tinue offering a quality service, adapted to
the town’s needs at each moment. The new
vehicles represent the City Council’s com-
mitment to the future and to the use of new
technologies applied to cleaning processes”.
This revamping of the fleet of vehicles re-
affirms the commitment of FCC and of the
various entities for which it provides its ser-
vices to the optimisation of municipal resou-
rces for cleaning purposes and the concern
for urban sustainability and the protection of
the environment.

llection trucks, three mechanical
sweepers, a street flushing vehicle,
high water pressure equipment,
two dump trucks, and nine Piaggio
Porter vehicles.
