with various activities

memorate World Day for Safety and Health at

Work.

One of the training activities directed by Marto Ramos who explained different topics to workers, the

foreman, and the head of the Drinking Water Treatment Plant in Salamanca.

To commemorate World

Day for Safety and Health

at Work, FCC Aqualia

conducted several activities

with the participation of

workers from the different

departments of the

Salamanca Water Service.

FCC Aqualia expressed its firm commitment

to the welfare of workers by conducting se-

veral activities during World Day for Safety

and Health at Work whose them this year

was “Workplace Stress: a collective cha-

llenge”. FCC’s water management division

conducted several activities with the team

from the Salamanca Water Service, all of

them aimed at transmitting various commu-

nication and work dynamics that promote

the execution of daily work in the safest and

most preventive possible manner.

The activities were aimed at analysing the

various accidents in the past and to point

out the possible ways of avoiding them, ex-

plaining the use of IPEs (Individual Protec-

tion Equipment) by employees, as well as

having managers, supervisors and foremen

become more involved in risk prevention.

All the activities were scheduled and mana-

ged by Marta Ramos, Prevention of Occu-

pational Hazards (POH) technician from the

Salamanca Water Service.

Operators also participated in refresher

courses focused on improving the way

that they perform their regular work tasks.

Several guidelines for monitoring safety

conducts correctly were explained to the

technical team from the hazard prevention

department.

FCC Aqualia works every day in developing

new measures to ensure the prevention of

occupational hazards. The Company regu-

larly launches different types of initiatives

and practices as part of its plan to impro-

ve safety and health at work, focused on

achieving these goals. One recent example

is the preventive management monitoring

and control system which brings together

executives and employees in meetings

scheduled periodically as a venue for en-

suring the improvement of the preventive

culture.
