FCC Aqualia
takes the first
‘Safety Tour’
in search of excellence
in Preventive Culture
A group of FCC Aqualia executives, headed by Managing Director Félix Parra, toured the
water management service in San Lorenzo de El Escorial in the province of Madrid.
This activity was the first of the “Safety Tours” contemplated in the 2015-2018 Preventive
Culture Improvement Plan which aims to enhance the organization’s preventive culture.
The first “Safety Tour” was taken last May by
FCC Aqualia’s zone and branch office mana-
gers, an initiative contemplated in the project
that the Company has been developing to
improve the preventive culture.
Félix Parra, managing director of FCC Aqua-
lia, was accompanied during the tour by
Santiago Lafuente, national manager, and
Carmen Rodríguez, manager of Human Re-
sources. The executives, who were also ac-
companied by José Luis San Segundo, the
manager of the service at San Lorenzo de El
Escorial, were able see firsthand employees
at work who were performing their regular
daily tasks.
They first toured the site where operators
were working on the point of use for wa-
ter supply with whom the executives were
able to exchange information and opinions
on the prevention regulations and measures
in the work environment. They then went to
the town’s drinking-water plant where they
toured the entire facilities and met with the
employees.
During the first part of the Safety Tour, the execu-
tives shared a few minutes with the team that was
working on a point of use for water supply. In the
