FCC Aqualia receives recognition.
Within the context of the 15th Employment
Forum and after having revalidated its
ranking as an International Excellence
Campus, Oviedo University organised a
Recognition Event to honour the companies
and institutions that collaborate with the
University in the practical training of students
and graduates, of which FCC Aqualia is a
leading member.
One of the key aspects of the International
Excellence Campus of Oviedo University
has been its cohesion with the productive
and social sphere of Asturias, as part of
the model known as the Quadruple Helix
Model (Government, Companies, Society,
and University). The governing body of the
University believed that this was the right
moment not only for seeking collaboration
but also to show its appreciation. More
than 4,000 Oviedo University students
have participated in internships in various
companies and institutions, complementing
their academic studies with professional
experience where they want to work in
the future. The satisfaction of these interns
increases every year.
The Recognition Event was headed by
the Chancellor of the University and by
representatives of the government of the
Principality of Asturias. Alfonso Tomás,
the manager of the Oviedo Branch of FCC
Aqualia was present in this event as the
Company’s representative.
