Carlos M. Jarque
meets with Panamanian authorities
and with the managers and staff of FCC to analyse and
promote projects in this region
Carlos M. Jarque, the executive director
and CEO of FCC visited Panama to gain
firsthand knowledge of the status of the
projects and to meet with the staff and
managers of the Citizen Services Group.
During his stay in the Central American
country, Jarque met with the leading local
authorities, including Juan Carlos Varela,
the president of the Republic of Panama.
During his first trip to Panama as the
executive director and executive director
and CEO of FCC, Jarque was able to
learn about the projects that the Group is
currently executing in the country, including
the most important ones, such as Ciudad
de la Salud (the largest hospital complex
in Central America and the Caribbean) and
Line 2 of the Metro system. He also learned
about the outlook of future project tender
processes.

and CEO expressed the determination
and responsibility of the Citizen Services
Group in reactivating the Ciudad de la
Salud project and its commitment with the
country and interest in participating in future
projects such as Bridge 4 or the new Metro
line in the country’s capital. FCC’s CEO also
met with other members of the Executive
Branch and with various diplomats in the
Central American country.
Jarque also took advantage of his presence
in the country to meet with the Group’s
employees and managers to explain his
strategy and gain firsthand knowledge of
their opinion on the projects in progress
in the different areas as well as to analyse
the future of the Group in Panama and in
other Central American countries where it
develops its activities.
In the various meetings with the managers
and employees of FCC Central America,
the Group’s executive director and CEO
expressed his support for promoting the
different projects and at the same time,
gained first hand knowledge of the projects
currently in the pipeline for the future. The
team members also had the opportunity of
expressing their opinions and suggestions
in their meeting with Jarque.
