FCC Construcción Central America celebrates
International Women’s Day
March 8, International Women’s Day, is a
very important day for all women around the
world. We remember the many battles that
were fought and won in different periods
by women who were not willing to give up.
FCC Construcción Central America joined
this significant celebration to pay homage
to the women who are part of the Company.
The various branch offices and projects
watched a video that described the
major milestones in history when groups
of women raised their voices to express
themselves and let others know their
opinions. The video also included
testimonies of the women who have been
working for several years at FCC who, with
their efforts and dedication, have given the
best of themselves in the jobs that they
perform.
As part of the activities to commemorate
International Women’s Day, the city
council of Ávila organised an event
to honour people, institutions and
companies for their work in favour of
real equality among men and women.
The mayor of Ávila, José Luis Rivas,
highlighted the fact that, in relation to the
corporate world, the Plenary Meeting of
the Municipal Council for Equality among
Men and Women, at its meeting on 4
March, “unanimously awarded the Equality
Committed Company seal to FCC Aqualia”.
The award, given by councilwoman
Julia Martín, was collected by Carmen
