Caltaqua
joins the Guaranteed Mobility
Project” to facilitate transport for the disabled
in Caltanissetta (Italy)
FCC Aqualia’s Sicilian
subsidiary in Caltanissetta
joins this social initiative
by collaborating in
donating a vehicle adapted
for the disabled, thereby
bolstering its commitment
to the residents
of the region.
Caltaqua joins the “Guaranteed Mobility Pro-
ject” to facilitate the transport of people who
have mobility problems. The Company par-
ticipates in this initiative undertaken by the
City Council, the local association, Etnos,
and the financial and communications agen-
cy PMG SpA, by sponsoring a van adapted
for people with physical disabilities. This very
necessary tool will make it possible to cover
the lack of equipment in the region’s trans-
port system.
More than twenty companies, together with
Caltaqua, have collaborating in sponsoring
the vehicle that will act as a social taxi to
transfer people with mobility problems within
the urban area. The services, to be provided
by the city council, will be provided at a low
cost to ensure access to all users.
Several representatives from Caltaqua were
present at the official delivery of the vehicle
to Etnos, the non-profit organization, and
the city council. These two entities gave
the thank-you diplomas to the participating
company. Also present at the event was
Ettore Garozzo, a reference in the region for
those with limited mobility due to his political,
social, and cultural efforts to build awareness
in the community and in administrations on
the needs of people with disabilities and at
risk of social exclusion.
Its participation in this project reflects
Caltaqua’s commitment to the residents of
Caltanisseta where it not only provides servi-
ces for managing the complete water cycle
in an area with difficulties due to geographi-
cal reasons, but also has shown its strong
social commitment towards all the citizens
of the province.
