FCC and Club Activo 20-30
de Las Cumbres, join hands
for the Guadalupe (Panama)
FCC and Club Activo 20-30 de Las Cum-
bres entered into an agreement for crea-
ting programs and projects to benefit the
neediest and to promote children’s develo-
pment, thereby joining the corporate
alliance “Let’s get to work”.
As part of the actions undertaken with the
Centro de Salud de los Altos de San Fran-
cisco (the Altos de San Francisco Health-
care Centre) in La Chorrera, and Club Ac-
tivo 20-30, the first activity took place
recently. It consisted of a medical tour
throughout the Guadalupe community
sector where more than 90 people, inclu-
ding children, teenagers, and adults, recei-
ved medical care.
This initiative counted with the participa-
tion of general practitioners, eight techni-
cians, five dentists and more than ten Club
Activo 20-30 volunteers who performed
medical check-ups, gave vaccinations,
performed dental procedures, and organi-
sed talks with the children and young
adults on the importance of taking care of
their teeth as well as other activities.
According to Carlos Pantoja, head of the
Industrial division of FCC Construcción
America, “the work carried out during this
medical tour conducted by FCC and Club
Activo 20-30 de Las Cumbres, reinforces
the Company’s commitment to the com-
munities in the areas around the quarries.
Alliances such as this one benefit the resi-
dents of these communities by providing
services that contribute to improving their
quality of life”.
The initiative launched with the participation of a team of health professionals.
