For yet another year, the Antonio Cabeza Auditorium, hosted
the Augusto Martínez “Los Valores del Deporte” Gala, now in
its fifth edition. These awards were created to pay homage to
the founding president of Unión Deportiva Paterna, Augusto
Martínez, whose values he always tried to instil in the
association’s members.
FCC won an award in this edition for the quality of its services
and for its management of sports facilities as well as for the
innovative energy saving processes.
Salvador Otero Caballero, the manager of the Levante I branch
office of FCC Medio Ambiente collected the prize. He
highlighted the Company’s commitment and its contribution
for improving the quality of life of citizens and congratulated all
the award-winners.
The winners included the former soccer players from Valencia
Club de Fútbol, Amadeo Carboni and Miroslav Djuckic; the Pa-
ralympic and world champion cyclist Maurice Eckhard; and
Victor Lenguo, the former basketball player, representing Va-
lencia Basquiet, as well as new sportsmen who were also re-
cognised for their values and work.
The chair of the organizing committee, José Augusto Martínez,
gave the closing speech at the gala event, thanking all of those
present and the award-winners for attending the gala. He was
followed by the interim mayor of Paterna, Nuria Campos, who
highlighted the sports values of the award-winners, one of
whom, Augusto Martínez, was a source of pride for the town of
Paterna.
The mayor of Paterna (Valencia), Nuria Campos, handed the prize to Salvador
Otero Caballero, manager of the Levant I branch office of FCC Medio Ambiente.
