On 5 June, World Environment Day, FCC
Medio Ambiente’s Centre Branch Office or-
ganised a reforestation outing at Cerro del
Castillo de Valdemoro (Madrid). Councillor
Juan José Jiménez of the Environment De-
partment of Valdemoro City Council, hea-
ded this event, accompanied by Antonio
Rodríguez Gómez, head of the branch offi-
ce, and the manager of the department,
Miguel Olías Garrido.
Throughout the entire morning, many fami-
lies and residents of Valdemoro went to Ce-
rro del Castillo where they left a record of
their environmental awareness by planting
about fifty trees throughout the park.
Besides planting trees, they enjoyed a day
of learning and environmental awareness
building and enjoyed the activities, such as
music and a large inflatable castle for the
young crowd.
