FCC to boost
its Concession
and Construction
businesses
The Luis “Chicho” Fábrega hospital centre,
built by FCC, opens its doors to the public
Renowned for its great engineering, expe-
rience and technology, FCC will continue
building infrastructures, focusing on me-
dium and large projects and reducing its
activity in minor works, the area of small or
medium construction companies.
The Luis “Chicho” Fábrega hospital centre
in Santiago, Veraguas province, built by
FCC Construcción was inaugurated on 26
June by the president of the Republic of
Panama, Juan Carlos Varela, accompanied
by the minister of health, Javier Terrientes.
FCC Construcción was represented by the
director for Latin America, José María To-
rroja, the director of FCC Construcción in
Central America, Manuel Antonio Olivares,
the director of Building, Juan Antonio del
Saz, the project manager and FCC person-
nel.
FCC was in charge of the design and cons-
truction of the hospital centre, applying the
highest health standards, and achieving a
flexible and accessible design adapted to
the needs of the community while respec-
ting the environment and implementing
energy savings measures, and contempla-
ting the possibility of expanding the facility
in the future.
Accordingly, FCC Construcción will also
continue to actively participate in tenders,
where it has considerable experience
through its specialised subsidiaries, and
aims to strengthen its national and inter-
national competitiveness and become an
active and important element in the deve-
lopment of infrastructures.
