the activities being carried out at different
worksites to promote health, such as pre-
vention campaigns, healthy diets, stress,
physical exercise, etc.
Matinsa, the FCC subsidiary and leader
in the Spanish infrastructure maintenance
market presented, through its spokesper-
son, José Antonio Subirat, head of the Fé-
nix Project, a GPS-enabled personnel loca-
lisation system and an alarm system.
The DIS-FRUTA (a play on words,
meaning enjoy, with FRUTA mea-
ning fruit): a fruit in exchange for a
healthy idea.
On the last day of the event, FCC distribu-
ted more than 100 kilograms of different ty-
pes of fruits (apples, pears, grapes, straw-
berries, bananas, loquats, oranges, and
mandarins) in exchange for a healthy idea:
128 ideas were collected.
The week’s closing event counted with the
participation of Mar Alarcón Castellanos,
general director of Work and Manager of
the Regional Institute for Safety and Health
at Work, and a presentation by Ana Villa-
cañas Beades, general manager of Organi-
zation at FCC. Marta Zimmermann Verdejo,
the director of the Research and Informa-
tion Department of the National Safety and
Health at Work Institute was also present at
this event.
This initiative was sponsored by the De-
partment of Occupational Safety, Health,
and Welfare with the collaboration of seve-
ral departments involved in organizing the
week event, including Human Resources,
Medical Services, Prevention services from
the Communications, General Services, Re-
prography, and Maintenance Departments.
