inaugurates the
Via Brasil
Section ll Corridor (Panama)
The Via Brasil Section II Corridor reaches the
culmination phase with the opening cere-
mony of the intersection at Avenida Nicanor
Obarrio (Calle 50). Present at the event were
the President of the Republic, Ricardo Mar-
tinelli, accompanied by Public Works Minis-
ter Jaime Ford Castro, the chairman of FCC
Construcción in Central America, Víctor Al-
berola Ruipérez, with special guests and the
mass media.
The project, which will benefit more than 200
thousand people who travel through this area,
has an intersection at Calle 50 and Vía Brasil,
with an underpass with three lanes, two late-
ral roads at ground level each with one lane.
Two overpasses were built near the intersec-
tion to facilitate pedestrian traffic.

Pumping stations for rainwater.

Early warning systems to control access.

High-quality finishings, aesthetic and bright, providing
users with enhanced driving comfort.

Electricity and communication cables were placed under-
ground.

Water supply, sanitation, and rainwater collections systems
were relocated.

Enhances the aesthetics of the surrounding areas thanks to
the new landscaping and green areas.
