Following the positive response to the ac-
tivities organized for the 1st week of safety
and health at work, we will be launching
and disseminating throughout the organi-
zation new Work Health Promotion projects
and activities.

Promoting health at work put into
practice
Los estudios realizados en diferentes paíS-
tudies conducted in various countries, in
Europe, as well as in the United States,
Australia, and Canada, have shown that
programs for promoting health at the
workplace contribute not only to reducing
direct healthcare costs, but also sick lea-
ve, staff turnover, and accidents at work.
This evidence, increasingly more solid,
should not be ignored by companies parti-
cularly if they aspire to be sustainable and
competitive.
The implementation and execution of a
work health promotion program (WHP),
the participation of everyone, as pointed
out in the Declaration of Luxembourg, is
essential. This requires the commitment
of workers, their representatives, manage-
ment and middle management.
Promoting health at work can play an
important role in preparing and training
workers and organizations to be able to
face changes since the future of Healthy
Companies depends to a large extent on
a well prepared, motivated, and healthy
workforce.
