FCC Environment CEE:

New corporate image spot

with the new brand

The City Council of Tiana (Catalonia),

receives

awards in Brussels for its excellent waste management

In connection with the rebranding process

from .A.S.A. to FCC Environment CEE,

which was carried out in 2015, we would

like present a new film. “The main aim of the

new short movie is to show what a broad

spectrum of services is offered by our com-

pany. This time we are not so focused on

our technologies, but on the advantages

and benefits which are associated with our

services”, says Lucie Zumrová, Head of

Group Communication and CSR.

The town of Tiana (Barcelona) where FCC

Medio Ambiente’s Catalonia Branch per-

forms waste collection and treatment and

street cleaning services, won two awards

for its “In Tiana we reduce waste” plan

which contemplates several measures for

smart waste management.

FCC Medio Ambiente’s branch in this Ca-

talan town covers the needs of its 8,411

residents, providing quality services, cons-

tantly striving to provide sustainable and

innovative solutions in urban waste mana-

gement and street cleaning services.

The City Council received the Sustaina-

ble City prize in the waste category in the

awards sponsored by the Environmen-

tal Forum Foundation and granted by

the Spanish Ministry of Agriculture, Food

and the Environment. It also received an

award from the European Union within the

framework of the LIFE+ program during

the celebration of the European Waste

Prevention Week. The City Council recei-

ved the first prize in the “Public Adminis-

trations” category.

Thanks to the activities carried out by

FCC Medio Ambiente and the project im-

plemented by the Tiana City Council, the

town obtained the best rate of selective

waste collection in Catalonia. It was able

to sort 86.36% of waste thereby improving
