FCC to build a Liquefied Natural Gas terminal
in Finland
FCC Industrial, the specialist industrial project company of the Public Services Group,
has been awarded the contract to build a Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) storage tank at
the Port of Pori, Tahkoluoto Harbour, on the west coast of Finland. The client is Skan-
gass, a leading LNG operator in the Nordic countries. The project has a budget of 30
million euros.
The new terminal will have a storage capacity of 30,000 cubic metres and is set to be
ready for use during the last quarter of 2016. Over 250 full-time jobs will be created du-
ring the project’s deployment phase and, once it has been completed, around a dozen
people will work directly at the new terminal and another fifty in related indirect jobs.
