The european
ALL-GAS project,
led by
Aqualia,
receives award
CDTI Award
Centro para el Desarrollo Tecnológico In-
dustrial (CDTI) has rewarded companies for
their involvement in Spanish projects that
were part of the 7th Framework Research
and Development Program of the European
Union. Aqualia is one of the award-winners
for its role in coordinating the All-Gas Pro-
ject.
Juan Tomás Hernani, Secretary General of
the Ministry of Science and Innovation deli-
vered the award to the Aqualia representati-
ve, Fernando de la Torre, General Manager
of the branch offce for Cantabria, Basque
Country, Navarre, and La Rioja.
The aim of the project is to demonstrate
that it was possible to produce biofuels
from harvested microalgae sustainably and
at a large scale.
The coordination by Spanish companies of
projects with a budget equal to or higher
than 10 million Euros in the 2010 edition
of the program, the category to which the
Aqualia-led project belongs, was one of the
criterion considered by CDTI in selecting
the projects receiving this distinction.
