to build the Clinical Center
at Mistelbach, Austria
The Lower Austrian State Clinics Holding
Co. awarded the contract to build the new
Weinviertel State Clinical Center the Aus-
trian region of Mistelbach to a joint venture
including ALPINE Bau GmbH and two other
companies.
The budget for the project involving the re-
habilitation and construction of a new buil-
ding adjacent to the historic clinical center
will be 175 million Euros and should be
concluded by the end of 2017.
ALPINE, VAMED, and Hypo-Leasing will
execute the construction project under
which the latter will fnance it while ALPINE
AND VAMED will be in charge of construc-
tion. As mentioned by Karl Gruber, Mana-
ging Director of ALPINE, the clinical faci-
lities will contribute great added value to
the region since will be employing nearly
50 local companies.
The “Weinviertel” Clinical Center
The core of the historic Winviertel Clinical
Center will refurbished during the pro-
ject. A new building with a useful area of
13,000 m
2
will be built and will feature a
hospital wing for parents and hospitalized
children, and state-of-the-art medical fa-
cilities. The project poses a special cha-
llenge since refurbishment and construc-
tion of the new building will be executed
without disrupting the hospital’s normal
operations.
