Last December, the city renewed its trust in FCC, which has been providing services in the city since 1985, with the signing of a contract representing a municipal budget of almost 12 million euros per year (VAT excluded). The term of the contract is 12 years, plus another possible 8-year extension, repre- senting a portfolio of approximately 144 million euros. The presentation took place in the facilities that FCC maintains in the city of Jaén and was chaired by the city’s mayor, Javier Márquez Sán- chez, who was accompanied by Juan José Jodar Valderrama, City To improve the service, FCC will be introducing a side-loading waste collection system to replace a large part of the current rear-loading system.
