Innovation is in the DNA of FCC since its establishment over one hundred years ago, creating sustainable and efficient communities and ecosystems and improving the quality of life of its citizens on a daily basis. FCC participates in the Smart City Expo World Congress in Barcelona Once again, the FCC Group partici- pated last year in the most important smart city event: the Smart City Expo World Congress 2018 (SCWC), lea- ding world congress, held in Barce- lona between 13 and 15 November. A wide range of experts, municipal representatives, institutions, acade- mic leaders, research centres, com- panies and entrepreneurs attend the congress every year. The Environmental and Construction (Industrial) business units participa- ted in the event on behalf of FCC in a stand where relevant information on the two business areas and their positioning within the Smart City framework was provided through screens panels and interactive su- pports displaying several of its inno- vative projects. In this context, FCC Group’s Envi- ronmental Services made a global presentation of the first e-mobility pla- tform for the vehicles used to provide these services. FCC Medio Ambiente, through the ‘FCC Equal’ Special Employment Centre, the Incorpora Programme of “la Caixa”, Inserta Empleo - Funda- ción Once and the Smart City Expo World Congress 2018 Organisation, committed to the communities in which they carry out their activities, and aware that intelligent cities must become increasingly inclusive, have joined forces in this edition of the con- gress to create the First Employment Fair for Collectives with Special In- sertion Difficulties.
