With this latest project, “La Diversidad Suma” (Diversity Adds Up) has ma- naged to make known the company’s commitment to the social and labour inclusion of people at risk of exclusion, meaning people with disabilities, women victims of gender violence, etc. This campaign has had some great protagonists. Employees from FCC and its Construction area, linked to disability, together with Pablo Pineda, a diversity consultant at the Adecco Foundation and the first European uni- versity student with Down’s syndrome, have put a face on this pioneering social project in the construction sector. Five FCC employees have contributed as ambassadors for this initiative, which has penetrated the entire organisation. They all have a common bond; they all know about disability from close up but in a different way and each contributes their vision, knowledge and experience of diversity and disability in an enriching way. The Diversity Adds Up campaign and the enpositivofcc website The workshops developed were, soap decoration workshop, biscuit works- hop and blind breakfasts, in which em- ployees could have breakfast blindfol- ded and guided by the disabled. The material prepared by the disabled and by FCC Construcción employees was placed in a solidarity market. The aim was to showcase the enormous amount of work carried out in the disa- bility centres. People with disabilities and support staff, promoting commu- nication and treatment of the public, basic skills and knowledge for social inclusion, attended the market. The high degree of acceptance by FCC Construcción employees encou- rages the continued development and application of the principles and values of the enpositivofcc project.
