On 14 December, FCC Construcción held Disability Day at the Las Tablas corporate headquarters. This con- ference, organised by the Adecco Foundation and FCC Construcción, is part of the framework for the develo- pment of the “enpositivofcc” initiative. The main objective of the symposium was to bring disability closer to FCC Construcción employees through di- fferent workshops and activities, coor- dinated and managed by disabled people. The performance of manual creativity activities provides multiple benefits and in a very different way: ■■ They encourage cognitive aspects. ■■ They provide psychological bene- fits, since they improve self-esteem and mood by seeing that one is ca- pable of carrying out work correctly and satisfactorily. ■■ Provides social benefits: It impro- ves socialization, since this type of conference often represent the only opportunity for people with intellec- tual disability to collaborate and to relate with other people outside their disability centre and family.
