STANDING BY YOUR SIDE mar- ks the start of the campaign that FCC Medio Ambiente has launched to show its solidarity with victims of gender violence. His slogan will be shown at all locations and in all coun- tries where FCC Medio Ambiente conducts its activities. STANDING BY YOUR SIDE will form part every year of any initiative linked to the celebration of the Day Against Gender Violence and of any other awareness raising activity that the company sets in motion to put an end STANDING BY YOUR SIDE, the slogan of the campaign launched by FCC Medio Ambiente to express its solidarity with victims of gender violence to this social scourge and in solidari- ty with the victims of violence against women. The objectives of FCC Medio Am- biente’s Equality Plan include pro- moting the defence and effective application of the principle of equality between men and women, guaran- teeing equal opportunities for entry and professional development at all levels in the workplace; improving the balanced distribution of genders within the scope of application of the Plan; promoting and improving wo- men’s opportunities for access to po- sitions of responsibility, contributing to reducing inequalities and imbalances which, although of historical, cultural, social or family origin, may occur wi- thin FCC Medio Ambiente; to prevent sex discrimination in the workplace by establishing a protocol for action in these cases; to reinforce the Group’s commitment to sustainability and cor- porate social responsibility in order to improve the quality of life of emplo- yees and their families and to promo- te the principle of equal opportunities; and to establish principles of exclu- The FCC workers in charge of street cleaning and garbage co- llection in Zaragoza have worn purple vests to demonstrate their rejection of male violence. More than 1,100 employees have walked the streets wearing their vests, spreading the campaign slogan “Let’s sweep violence against women together”. FCC wears the colour purple in Zaragoza sion from any measures that might prejudice the reconciliation of working life with the family and personal lives of workers. In order to achieve these objectives, a series of areas of action are contem- plated, focusing on: access to emplo- yment, promotion, training, remunera- tion, and conciliation, preventive and corrective measures for the situation of discrimination, prevention of ha- rassment based on sex, communica- tion and protection of female workers who are victims of gender violence.
