FCC celebrates the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, held every year on 25 November. Every year, the Group calls on all Company employees to remind them of its principles and to rei- terate its commitment and vision: zero-tolerance when it comes to gender violence and the promotion of the social and professional inte- gration of women who subjected to gender violence. FCC observes International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women As part of its commitment to eli- minate gender violence, FCC or- ganized a commemorative event at its Las Tablas corporate head- quarters. The event was chaired by the Company’s Chief Executi- ve Officer, Pablo Colio, who was accompanied by Esther Alcocer Koplowitz, Chairwoman of FCC Group. The actions included a panel dis- cussion, held under the slogan “Speak up and ask for help”. The participants included Matilde Fer- nández, President of the Spanish Committee of ACNUR, United Na- tions High Commissioner for Refu- gees; Isabel Sanchis Vila, member and advisor of the Government Delegate’s Office against Gender Violence, and Mª Elena Palacios Tejero, Chief Inspector and Head Pablo Colio, the Chief Executive Officer of the FCC Group, gave the opening speech at the event. of the Intervention Service of the Family and Women’s Unit (UFAM). At the end of the day, the com- pany’s employees showed their support for the victims of this cur- se on society by standing next to a poster with the phrase “STAN- DING BY YOUR SIDE”, as part of the activities organised to observe the International Day for the Eli- mination of Violence against Wo- men. “STANDING BY YOUR SIDE” kicks off a campaign rolled out by FCC Medio Ambiente to show its support for the victims of gender violence.
