P E O P L E S 20 P E O P L E S The mayor of Jerez, Mamen Sán- chez, presided over the closing of the third edition of Aqualia’s Mentoring programme, which seeks to promo- te female talent and the professional development of newly recruited de- partment managers. Accompanied by the director of People, Carmen Rodríguez, and the company’s IT di- rector, Mª Ángeles Vicente, the ma- yor said, “she could not fail to accom- pany a company that is committed to equality”. The Sherry Hotel in Jerez was the venue for the event that brought to- gether the nine mentoring couples from Zones I, II and III, as well as from Central Services and the Inter- national area. The Mentoring pro- gramme facilitates relationships be- tween mentors and “high potential” mentees, exploiting generational sy- nergies and helping them to establi- sh a solid network of contacts within the organisation. Aqualia launched this initiative three years ago as part of the battery of measures that the company has de- signed to promote equality between men and women. After each edition, it continues to consolidate itself as an excellent tool for fostering female talent and giving visibility to the com- pany’s people with high potential.
