Innovation in Aqualia’s water cycle During the last 5 years, the company has invested 15 million of its own resources for the development of technological and innovative solutions for water treatment. Aqualia parti- cipates in the main European, national and regional R+D+i programmes related to water management. Thanks to co-fi- nancing from the Spanish Administration or the European Union (FP7, LIFE, H2020, Eco-Innovation...) Aqualia is able to provide its projects with the best resources. The R+D+i activity plays a leading role in the company, sin- ce in the management of a good as necessary as water, the continuous search for technologies that make the process more sustainable is fundamental. Through continuous contact with the different agents in its environment and thanks to the collaboration of all Aqualia personnel, opportunities are identified for the development of new projects that fit into the lines of work on which the company’s R+D+i activity is organised: quality, sustainabili- ty, intelligent management and eco-efficiency.
