The FCC Group’s construction area is prepared to face the global cha- llenges of sustainability today, having adapted its business model to meet the demands of respect for the envi- ronment and people. That is why FCC Construcción is a participant in the changes that are taking place, acting in its field to improve its environment and position itself as a benchmark in its sector. FCC Construcción joined the United Nations Global Compact in 2004. As a founding member of the Spanish Global Compact Network, the Com- pany has participated from the start in the Network’s activities with the aim of sharing good practices that pro- mote the implementation of the Ten Principles. FCC Construcción contributes direct- ly to the achievement of the following Sustainable Development Objectives: • SDG 9: Implementing sustainable infrastructures that support the so- cial welfare and economic develop- ment of communities. • SDG 11: Building more sustainable and resilient cities in the face of glo- bal change. • SDG 12: Generating a culture of re- source reuse, waste reduction and responsible consumption. • SDG 13: Achieving a low carbon economy, reducing emissions at our projects and adopting cleaner practices. FCC Construcción considers it es- sential to support the implementation of Agenda 2030 and to act as a dri- ving force and transmitter of the initia- tive among the organisation’s various internal and external stakeholders. For this reason, we want to make our employees aware of the Sustainable Development Objectives and FCC Construcción’s commitment to them.
