To implement this Master Plan effectively and to comply with FCC’s CSR policy, there is a structure that guarantees and ensures the good governance of the plan. Approved by FCC’s Board, the plan will be supervised by the Executive Com- mittee, enforced and controlled by the Group’s CSR Directorate and implemented by the corporate CSR Committee and the CSR and sustai- nability committees of FCC’s busi- ness units. Through this plan, FCC wishes to underscore its decision to respond firmly to the company’s responsibi- lities and commitments to society. The plan clarifies the Group’s sus- tainability road map for the near future, leveraging credibility and confidence for clients, investors and employees. FCC Group’s Board of Directors rati- fied the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Master Plan for the 2020 horizon that was pre- viously approved, on 28 November, by the Executive comittee. In 2016 the Board approved FCC’s CSR policy to comply with the Limi- ted Companies Law and following the recommendation of the CNMV Code of Good Governance for Com- panies. The fourth CSR Master Plan was approved to comply with the CSR policy and to meet the com- mitments to stakeholders. As with the policy, the plan, valid for three years, up to 2020, contemplates three lines of action: connection with the public, smart services and exemplary behaviour. FCC Group’s new CSR Master Plan was prepared following an in-depth analysis of social and environmental needs as well as medium and long- term trends. New regulations, global challenges, identified in the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Agenda 2020, the de- mands of our surroundings and a clear commitment to contribute va- lue to FCC’s business, have marked the definition of the 15 action pro- grammes in this the Group’s fourth CSR Master Plan. “FCC CONNECTED” The first pillar of the plan, “FCC Connected,” incorporates four ac- tion programmes to strengthen the company’s ties with its closest su- rroundings and with society in gene- ral to be worth of its confidence and credit through value adding initiati- ves in matters of social action, dia- logue and the transfer of knowledge and experience . “SMART SERVICES” The second pillar, “Smart Services,” seeks to contribute significantly to the fight against climate change and the reduction of the impact on the environment and on the community. The key aspects of the five program- mes of this section of the Master Plan are Innovation in sustainability and the company’s role in the new circular economy model. “FCC ETHICS” The visión of the last pillar, “FCC Ethics,” is more intra-company fo- cused.
