From the architectural standpoint, the city
is one of the most important ones in the
country thanks to its modern structure. The
City Hall Tower, standing 73 metres tall, is
the highest point in the city’s skyline, and
the tallest building in the Czech Republic.
The city also has a pedestrian zone inau-
gurated in 1967 near Plaza Masaryk where
SmVak has its headquarters.
